WONCA Europe highlights the European project HAPPY PATIENT in its newsletter and makes known the role of its member organization (the Spanish Society of Family and Community Medicine, semFYC), as responsible for the creation of training programs aimed at European health professionals.
The objective of the project is to avoid the arbitrary prescription of antibiotics and reduce it by 40% in 5 European countries, and semFYC occupies a double role as responsible for scientific communication and dissemination.
In addition, WONCA Europe highlights to its more than 90,000 family doctors and general practitioners that this is the first time that a European project is aimed at fighting antimicrobial resistance (AMR) at all levels of care, and it is also the first time that doctors of family lead this European investigation.
